We arrived at Lake Tahoe yesterday afternoon and settled into our very quaint cabin on the lake. One student arrived on Friday from Alaska, and three more arrived today! Why is it that the Alaska people beat the storm and the rest of our students will drive through it today to get here? The good news is that we see stars this morning…but the wind is something else.
As you can see from the photo, Patty Hawkins and Susan Shie also arrived last night. Patty’s entire presentation for tonight was all prepared on her new Apple IPad…we all want one so that we can retire our old slide carousels and overhead projectors! Keep checking back for news about this year’s conference as we will be blogging daily!

Hey Judy! We not only saw stars this morning, but we saw a lovely big rainbow on the far side of the lake. It was just the bottom ends of it, under some clouds, but it was there, and the sun was shining at that time, on Art Quilt Tahoe, as we prepare today for this wonderful conference!
