Art Quilt Tahoe is an annual art quilt educational conference where you will spend four days studying with the quilt artist of your choice and enjoy presentations by other faculty members at lunch and dinner. You will truly enjoy the creative energy at Art Quilt Tahoe and will make many new friends from around the world. The Center offers comfortable accommodations, food and service, all in a beautiful Tahoe lakeside setting.
The total conference fees of $1,350 for shared student occupancy or $1,600 for a single room, includes your sleeping accommodations for five nights, the workshop of your choice and all meals. Your spouse, partner or guest may attend with you for the single occupancy fee. A $275 conference meal ticket is available for your guest, spouse or partner, or you may purchase individual meal tickets. The Triple room rate is available for three friends/participating students sharing a room for $1,250 each. An Open Studio option is available for a Shared Room rate of $1,200 and a Single Room rate of $1,400. A Day Student Plan is available for $900 and includes all meals and the workshop of your choice. The Day Student fee without meals is $750.

Each day, members of the faculty present slides or quilts of recent work, discuss their current design direction and answer students’ questions. An exhibit of faculty quilts for the current and future conferences are displayed, as well as student challenge quilts.
Equipment and Supplies
A limited number of sewing machines (Janome 4800) are available at the rental charge of $75.

Arrival: Sunday, November 5th 2017, 3 p.m. Check-in, Classroom Set-up, Welcome Dinner 6:00 pm.
Workshop Sessions: Monday, November 6th through Thursday, November 9th, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Departure: Friday, November 10th, 2017, pack up and room check-out
Meals will be served in the main dining room on the top level of the Tallac Center with a wide open view of Lake Tahoe. Breakfast is served at 8:00 a.m., lunch at Noon and dinners commence at 6:00 p.m.
The closest airport is Reno International Airport. We realize that it is not always possible but we suggest you try to schedule your flight to arrive no later than 5 p.m. Sunday, November 5th, with a departure flight no later than 4 p.m., Friday, November 10th.
We have arranged for a shuttle service from the Reno airport to the Zephyr Point Conference Center for $100 round trip, approximately a one hour trip from the airport. If your arrival date and times differ from the above dates and times, please contact us and we will assist you with alternative arrangements. Of course, if you want to rent a car for your time at the conference, arrangements may be made through your travel agent or when you arrive at the Reno airport.
