Fabric—You have choices!

Choice #1. If you are traveling and have a limited amount of room, please bring at least 1/2 yard cut to represent each of the following colors from the color wheel—purple, blue, turquoise, green, yellow, orange, red, and pink and four one yard cuts of neutrals—white, grey, black, and brown. This will result in a 12 color palette with a total of eight yards of fabric. Please refer to the Palette Exercise for additional information on creating your palette
Choice #2. If you have room and want more options, please pack a suitcase or large box or large tub of an assortment of solid color fabrics that represent all colors plus neutral and a variety of in- tensities (the wow factor of a color) and a variety of values (light and dark and everything in be- tween!) Please refer to the Palette Exercise for additional information on creating your palette. NOTE—If you want to work with prints or tonals you may do so but realize that the graphic quailtiy of your work will be muted by the prints and the variations in color that exist in tonals. You can also work with a mixture of prints and solids if that is your thing. We can make it work.
