Supply List
Several inspirational photos of your choosing.
This class is all about working in the abstract and letting go of reality. The photo you use will be a guide to where to put the brush strokes for an acrylic painting an inspiration for a quilt. The photo will inform you of values and colors, width of marks, direction of marks, etc. Bring several photos to choose from if you are unsure of what to use. Florals, landscapes, architecture ( I have even had a student do a self portrait!) anything that excites you by its colors, composition and values. We will use the same photo or a different one to abstract it with straight lines for straight line piecing.
Fabric: Colors to match or complement your inspirational photo/painting, fat quarters or similar amounts in a total value range.
