Art Quilt Tahoe is an established educational conference that offers workshops in late Fall to study and learn from renown art quilt and surface design artists. You will study in classrooms with views of Lake Tahoe with the teacher of your choice and will enjoy presentations by other faculty members at lunch and dinner. You will truly enjoy the creative energy at Art Quilt Tahoe and will make many new friends. Zephyr Point Conference Center is located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe near Zephyr Cove in the State of Nevada. The Center offers comfortable accommodations, comfort food, beautiful grounds and offers an exquisite 270 degree view of Lake Tahoe. An exhibit of current and future faculty quilts will be displayed during the conference, as well as Student Challenge Quilts.
AQT Agenda
November 2nd
Room registration begins at 3:00 pm. We offer snacks to those who arrive early. Students settle into individual guest rooms and set-up their workshop space between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Our Welcome Dinner commences at 6 pm.
November 3rd to 6th
Breakfast is served every day at 8 am. Workshops commence at 9 am, break for Lunch at Noon and recommence at 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm. Dinner is served each day at 6 pm. Our Faculty provides a short presentation at the conclusion of lunch and dinner.
November 5th
We include a Bazaar Night on Wednesday. Items are sold by our faculty and participating students. It’s a fun night!
November 6th
Our farewell dinner should not be missed. We award our scholarships that night, as well as cash prizes for our annual Quilt Challenge.
November 7th
This is the day of departure. We offer a full breakfast at 8 am, and snacks for those departing earlier than 8 am. You may work in your classroom until 11 am as check-out is also at 11 am.
2025 Quilt Challenge Theme – Freedom!
We have a quilt challenge every year for students to participate in. Quilts should be no smaller than 30” x 30” or larger than 60” x 60.” A 3” sleeve must be attached to your piece in order for us to hang it in the best light. We request information about your quilt before October 15, 2025 so that we can prepare signage in advance. Please bring your quilt with you. Our faculty judges the entries and cash prizes are awarded at our Farewell Dinner for Best of Show ($250); 1st Place ($150); 2nd Place ($75) and 3rd Place ($50). Students vote for the “Student Choice” award ($200).

Deposits
- The minimum deposit for a student is $400 (-$75 Early Bird Discount). The minimum deposit for a guest is $200.
Deposits are Non-Refundable after May 31, 2025
Tuition Payments
Payment is due in full for tuition on August 31, 2025. You may also make partial payments throughout the year, as long as payment in full is received by the end of August. There is no refund of tuition should you have to cancel after August 31st.
Sewing Machines
We offer a limited number of Janome 4800 Sewing Machines for a rental fee of $125. Reserve early!
Airport Shuttle
We offer private shuttle transportation from and to the Reno International Airport on the day of arrival and departure, $150 round-trip and $80 one-way. We also block rooms at the Holiday Inn Express for students who wish to arrive a day early and provide shuttle transportation from the hotel as well.
We recommend that you book a flight that arrives no later than 3 pm on November 2nd and departs no earlier than 10 am on November 7th, 2025. We can make special arrangements for a later or earlier shuttle using the public airport shuttle, but additional fees may be assessed.
