Congratulations to Susan Shie’s PDQ Challenge Team, lead by Katie Fowler, for winning the first PDQ at AQT Challenge. It was great fun to watch 7 teams create a 12×12 block in one hour, using pre-selected fabrics, while others cheered from the sidelines…some because they weren’t the one under fire to complete the block, [...]

It was a beautiful day yesterday and Els van Baarle’s students set-up their clothes line to dry their beautifully dyed and printed pieces! Spectacular views from every classroom…and from every clothes line!

It was wild but everyone made it! Snow over the passes, but only rain, some sunshine, rainbows and clear crisp air at lakeside. Patty Hawkins did an amazing presentation tonight and we’re all ready for a good night’s sleep and tomorrow!

We arrived at Lake Tahoe yesterday afternoon and settled into our very quaint cabin on the lake. One student arrived on Friday from Alaska, and three more arrived today! Why is it that the Alaska people beat the storm and the rest of our students will drive through it today to get here? [...]
